Z-Wave controllers can also be realised as wall switches. These wall switches typically operate as static controllers since they are fixed at a certain point in the room. They control other Z-Wave devices like light switches, dimmers or window blinds. The Z-Wave devices to be controlled need to be associated with the wall controller. Z-Wave wall switch controllers are distinguished primarily by their colour design as part of a complete switch series. An additional distinguishing feature is the power supply, which is realized either via the 230 V or a battery. Z-Wave wall switch can control individual Z-Wave devices or groups of devices. If there is only one button, only a maximum of two groups (one tip on the single button controls one group, tipping the button twice controls the second group) can be controlled. If the wall switch has two buttons that up to 4 groups of devices can be controlled.
